Summer Andersen, DVM, a native of Gainesville, serves as the Medical Director at Animal Medical Center (AMC). She began her educational journey at the University of Georgia, earning her bachelor's degree before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2011. With a strong focus on providing high-quality care, Dr. Andersen brings expertise in acupuncture, internal medicine, and surgery. As Medical Director, she is dedicated to leading her team in delivering compassionate, comprehensive veterinary services. Outside of work, Dr. Andersen enjoys time with her wife, their nine dogs, and her horse. She spends her free time riding, relaxing at the barn, or enjoying the lake with family and friends.
