Veterinarians

Dr. Summer Andersen
Veterinarian
After completing her veterinary education, Dr. Andersen returned to her hometown and worked locally, gaining valuable experience in the field. In 2020, she took on a new chapter in her career by joining Animal Medical Center (AMC). Her dedication to providing top-notch care is complemented by her diverse interest in acupuncture, internal medicine, and surgery.
Dr. Andersen enjoys spending time with her family, which includes seven canine companions. A lover of horses, she is eagerly anticipating the addition of a horse to her family. In her leisure time, she indulges in her passion for cooking, explores the scenic outdoors through hiking or watersport adventures, and embraces the challenges of being a beginning equestrian.
Active in the community, Summer remains connected to her roots through her involvement in the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club. Her multifaceted interests and commitment to animal care illustrate a well-rounded individual who finds fulfillment in the harmonious balance between professional expertise and personal passions.

Dr. Rachel Weaver
Veterinarian
Prior to vet school, Dr. Weaver attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia where she obtained a B.S. in biology. There she met her husband, Alan Kattelmann, who is from Gainesville. In their spare time, they enjoy going out with their friends and relaxing with their 3 dogs Ally, Huey, and Tillie. Dr. Weaver is obsessed with corgis!
Dr. Weaver is certified in fear free practice. Her special interests include internal medicine, neurology, and preventative medicine.

Dr. Megan Nunnally
